Meet the Founders
Maeci Evans and Shelby Nation, both licensed speech-language pathologists and Ball State University graduates, have worked together since 2017. Their shared dedication led them to co-found a therapy clinic, develop a preschool and kindergarten, and establish the Social Learning Center in 2019.

Through their experiences, Maeci and Shelby have developed a deep understanding of child development, behavior, and the importance of social-emotional learning. Their practice embraces neurodiversity-affirming approaches, ensuring that each child is supported in ways that honor their unique strengths. They are passionate about delivering compassionate, child-centered, trauma-informed care.

Maeci and Shelby believe in building strong connections and fostering environments where every child can thrive. Their commitment is grounded in the belief that every child is doing their best, and they are dedicated to providing the support and tools needed for success. Together, they continue to lead the Social Learning Center with a focus on making a lasting impact on children and families.
